May Giveaway Day!

Welcome all visitors from Sew Mama Sew and thank you for stopping by!  And a big hey to my regular readers as well!

I know you’re here to win stuff, but first let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I’m Mika, a wife of one, mother of 5.  I’m the owner of Froggy Girl Designs, which is my little slice of heaven.  I refer to sewing as my therapy because I love it so.

We live on our little homestead, so occasionally I’ll talk about chickens and the garden-which is part of why I haven’t blogged much recently as there’s been much more “homesteading” going on over here vs. “new & exciting” sewing.

Indie Biz 3.0 Launch Day & a Giveaway

Launch Day CelebrationSo as I’ve mentioned, I just finished up the Indie Biz 3. 0 class over at Freckled Nest.  Today myself, along with many of my classmates will be doing a huge launch of new products, new blogs, new shops and giveaways.  As one of us so eloquently put it “We’re like butterflies emerging from our cocoons!”.  And so we are.

In celebration, I’m listing a few new products today that have been sitting on the backburner for WAY too long!  Also, I’m going to be hosting a little giveaway as a thank you to all my wonderful readers-both old and new!

Winners of my UBP10 “Name My Product” Contest!

Yes you read that, I said winners! After much deliberation, and poring over the more than 50 suggestions (ya’ll are some clever girls!), I finally made a decision!  It was really tough, I ended up narrowing it down to a few different ones, then asking family and friends for their opinions, finally settling on…..are you ready?  You are? OK, I’ll get on with it then.

Introducing the Froglet Snap-N-Go Keychain Wallet!  This is a combination of 2 different suggestions (from 4 different people!), but I really love it.  I’m a big fan of the cute Froggy names (like the Froggy Fix-It) but I want them to be descriptive as well so people can actually find them when they search.  I think this is the best of both worlds!

So what’s up with the winners you say?  I decided since the name was a combination of suggestions made by 4 different people, they will EACH get their own Froglet Snap-N-Go! Without further ado..the winners are:

It’s party time ya’ll!  If you’re a first time visitor here at Froggy Girl Designs-WELCOME!  And if you’ve “met” me before, welcome to you too!

First, a little about me and my little blog.  My name is Mika, and I’m the Froggy Girl herself. I’m a WAHM of 5 little ones, ranging in ages from 10 on down to almost 16 months. I’m married to the love of my life, and we live in Southern Indiana.  I own a little shop on Etsy, where I sell primarily children’s clothing, but there’s always lots of goodies in there.  I have a severe love of fabric, meaning I have entirely too much, but I love it ALL!

What’s my blog about? Well, a little bit of everything!  I know the experts say you should blog only about one topic, but well, I’m way too eclectic for that!  I blog about my kiddos of course, the joys and challenges of running a one woman business from home, lots of sewing, tutorials, and the like, and really whatever shiny thing distracts me that day.  I try and post at least a few times a week, but sometimes life gets in the way.

Now, what you REALLY came here for!  The giveaway!  I decided to take this opportunity to pick ya’lls minds!  I just started making a new product for me, these quilted monogrammed wallet keychains and I need your help.  I LOVE these because I’m not a purse girl, and they’re perfect for carrying my ID, debit card, and a bit of cash when I go out and about. (and you’ll have to excuse the horrid pics, I forgot to take them with decent light earlier today…sorry!)

These have a sturdy D-ring attached to the loop for your keys, and have a polyresin snap closure.  Poly snaps are most commonly used on cloth diapers, but they are PERFECT for an application like these because they are VERY secure and won’t wear out the way a metal snap will.  So you won’t have to worry about your snap opening and your life getting flung everywhere (not that that’s ever happened to me, nope).

Ultimate Blog Party 2010

It’s a Giveaway! 250 Stickers from Uprinting.com

Squee!  I’m so excited, it’s time for my first giveaway here at Froggy Girl!  I have partnered with the fabulous folks over at Uprinting.com to offer ya’ll a chance to win 250 free stickers!

Custom stickers are a great way to promote your blog or your business. Use them as address labels, event stickers, campaign giveaways, the list could go on! Channel your creativity and come up with unique sticker designs!  I’m actually working up a design for mine to use with my packaging for store orders, but that’s just one of MANY uses for these!
