Wow!  Thank you so much everyone for your bids!  I am so happy to do my little part to help the people of Queensland to recover from these awful floods!  Please forgive any un-caught typos..I attempted to slice my finger off with my rotary cutter this morning so I’m a bit clumsy!

Auction #2 for Queensland Flood Relief-Custom Initial Set Boy OR Girl!

OK, I’m late getting this one up but yesterday was a mess of finishing up science projects, a massive amount of cinnamon rolls and one complete meltdown (me lol).  So anyway, the other item I am auctioning off for the Queensland Flood Relief is…..

A custom, completely handmade  by me personalized pants and initial tee set for your little one.  Don’t have a little one?  Bid as a gift for your favorite niece, nephew, friends child or your neighbor!  Upon verification of your winning bid, I will work with you to pick the perfect fabric for your set.

The boys set will include regular pants and a short or long sleeve curved raglan tee.  The girls set will include either plain pants or one ruffle pants with a curved raglan tee.  The tee will have your choice of initial appliqued on the chest of the tee.

  1. All bids must be in US dollars (because my math brain isn’t good).
  2. Bidding starts at $10.
  3. You can place a bid by leaving a comment on this blog post with your bid amount and email address.  Please make sure that your bid is higher than the previous bidder.
  4. Your bid must be in whole dollar increments.
  5. This auction is open to everyone, US, Australian and International.  I will cover US postage, $20 will be charged for International winners.
  6. The auction begins NOW and will END at midnight on Monday 24th January 2011.
  7. At the close of the auction, I will contact the winner (please make sure your bid comment includes your email address).  The winner will pay the winning amount directly into the Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal and send me proof of payment via email.  Once proof of payment has been received, I will post your goodies to you.

Auction #1 for Queensland Flood Relief-Lightning Bugs by Heather Ross Fabric Pack

Since it’s already Monday in Australia, I’m a bit behind!  I know many of my visitors here are seamstresses themselves, so I’m digging deep for this one as I hope you will as well!

Heather Ross Lightning Bugs

This auction will be for this bundle of fabric from the Heather Ross “Lightning Bugs” line.  There is around 4 yards total of fabric here, maybe a bit more.  These are out of print and go for a pretty penny on Ebay and the like.  I’ve thought many times of selling them myself when we had challenges but I never did.  That tells me that God was waiting for this time.  So bid away everyone, let’s raise a good chunk for these poor people who have lost EVERYTHING..no home, no car, no clothes, NO FABRIC!!!!

2 auctions for the QLD flood relief raffle

I have a soft spot in my heart for Australia, always have.  Bobby and I have even talked a little bit about emigrating there one day (probably a pipe dream, but a fun one!).  So when I saw the news of all the flooding, and knowing a few people who have been directly affected, I wanted to do something…anything.  Since flying down to help in relief efforts on site isn’t possible, when I saw Toni’s post about these auctions I knew that’s what I had to do.

So today I will be posting 2 auctions to aid with flood relief as part of her series.   One will be fabric for the crafter (and its something everyone will want!), another will be a handmade item.  So check back later this afternoon for that.  Hop over to Toni’s blog and start browsing the other auctions.  There is some really fabulous stuff up!
