Yay! More catch up!

I’ll try and keep it nice and brief this time.  Since this is mostly a journal for me to be able to go back and look at things I’ve made, I don’t need to yap so much I guess (unless ya’ll want me to.  Both of you, speak up!).  So here goes!  Just a few more catch up things then I’ve got some other ones I want to post more in depth about.

I’m starting to work on going through the piles of barely worn pants from my kiddos that they’ve ripped the knees out of.  I’m repairing some for their own wear, but the rest I’m going to be upcycling into girls skirts.  So far I’ve only gotten 2 done, this one and the one below-but I really like them!  Pair them with some leggings or footless tights for a cute punky look.  This one also uses some of my very favorite Farbenmix ribbon (seriously, they have the BEST ribbons ever..so awesome).

I used Alexander Henry’s Badanna Black for the ruffle part on this one and some sparkly skull ribbon I had.  I did a regular d-ring & webbing belt for this one, seemed to fit the look better!

Ok, I know, this is a HORRID picture but I had to include it. I made this dress ages ago for Ree, but she was insistent I take her picture.  It cracks me up-her face, the bright colored sandals, how she wouldn’t stand still!

Name banner for Gennah’s room.  Her room is being done in pinks and green so I used my pink scraps for the letters and green for the stitching.  The bows seem a little big, but oh well.  I have some of these in progress for the boys as well (although not pink with bows of course!) so once I get those done I’ll show them here.

This one was a custom set.  The customer was doing her son’s birthday party in a Spongebob theme and needed an outfit to match!  I had no idea Spongebob fabric would be so hard to find!  I don’t do alot with character fabrics, so I didn’t have any on hand. Ended up having to order some off Ebay.  I do have tons of Wubbzy fabric though, so if you need anything Wubbzy-I’m your girl!

I’ve been playing with making an infant gown for awhile with a onesie as the base, and this is the first one that’s turned out really well.  The fabric is from Makower (the UK division of Andover for those “in the know”), and I adore it.  The entire range is just gorgeous.  Anyway, the bottom is elastic so you can slide it up to change the baby easily.  I’ve used gowns on every single one of my kiddos and loved them, so this was a natural thing for me!  It has a little ribbon detail on the bodice too for some interest that is baby safe!

This is the first take on an embroidered grocery tote.  I’ve got a whole slew of these in progress so I’ll talk about them more later when I have more to show!

I have a huge soft spot for Ruffle Booty Bloomers.  There’s just something about them on little booty’s that makes my heart sing.  This pair is made from a “vintage” (HA!) Amy Butler Charm print.  The onesie is embroidered with a mermaid applique.  I thought the fabric looked like fish scales or seashells, so a mermaid it is!

And now we’re pretty well caught up!  I’ve got a couple others I’ll blog about more in depth this coming week.  But be sure to come back tomorrow as I’ll have a SURPRISE!!!!!
